SYNOPSIS: I’ve been in love with my best friend Katie Walker for as long as I can remember. We may have shared our deepest, darkest secrets but that one I’ve kept to myself. Before I got the courage to confess my true feelings, my cousin Gabe moved to town and swept Katie off her feet. I should’ve admitted how I felt but I couldn’t—especially once they got married. When I caught Gabe cheating on his pregnant wife, I snapped. A deadly fight erupted and before I could comprehend what happened, I was charged with his murder and sent to prison. The day I’m released, I go straight to Katie’s house. But after pushing her away for a decade while I was behind bars—she slams the door in my face—wanting nothing to do with me. While she’s determined to pretend I don’t exist, this time I’m not going anywhere.
PUSHING YOU AWAY is a slow burn, angsty friends to lovers romance with lots of small-town, Southern drama. This is book 1 in the Noah & Katie duet and must be read in order.
IF YOU LOVE: ✔️Childhood friends… to enemies…to more? ✔️Single parent ✔️Small-town drama ✔️Suspense ✔️Hero redemption
REVIEW: As per usual, I NEED book 2 right this minute. Luckily, Kennedy Fox never makes us wait long. Book 2: Holding You Close comes out on March 16th. Okay, back to this book. I love Noah. I have been so curious about both Katie and Noah since we get hints about their situation during Tyler and Gemma’s Duet. They sure do have a lot of cards stacked against them with what has happened in the past! And then there’s the current drama bringing that romantic suspense aspect into the picture. In true Kennedy Fox fashion, they gave us a ton of little details within that damn cliffhanger they leave us with. I am picking up what is going on with this one and I am looking forward to seeing how it unfolds and all the details come together. I’m definitely rooting for these two!
Thank you to Kennedy Fox for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

SYNOPSIS: I’ve been in love with her for two years. The first time around I screwed things up. I hesitated and the moment was gone. I passed when I shouldn’t have. Not a total loss. I gained a best friend instead of whatever we might have been. Sydney is hands down the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’ll do anything to keep her in my life. Even bury my feelings deep inside. But one hot summer together at the lake filled with lots of teeny-tiny bikinis and I’m ready to risk it all for a second chance.
It’s time to take my shot.
REVIEW: Awwww Tanner and Sydney were adorable! I’ve read so many books since I read Nathan‘s story, The Fake, so I kind of forgot about Tanner and Sydney’s meet cute that you see in that book. When I met them in The Fake, I knew I needed to know their story. I’m so glad that Rebecca Jenshak revisited how they met in the beginning of this book. This is such a cute friends to lovers Book, and I just love Tanner and Sydney‘s relationship. I enjoy how everyone around them can see the connection as more than the really strong friendship Tanner and Sydney have found themselves in. It was fun to hear about how they’ve always supported each other since they first went on their first date and unintentionally friend-zoned each other two years prior. I had a moment of pause with the Amelia stuff in the beginning, but I think the author did a really good job of making that a part of the story without making anyone a bad guy. I also really appreciated Amelia’s attitude toward the situation. Tara, Tanner’s sister, was pretty disappointing. We get a little of her backstory and why she is the way she is, but I think I need to know more! Overall, I just really enjoyed seeing these two come together and realize that their connection is meant to be!

SYNOPSIS: Devney Maxwell has been my best friend since we were six years old, but she has no idea I’m in love with her. Even when I’m on the road playing professional baseball, she’s my home—the only one I’ve ever known. But when I return to Sugarloaf to care for the family farm, I discover she’s trying to talk herself into a life with the wrong man … and I become desperate. It only takes a single, perfect kiss to change everything. I have six months to get it right with Devney—to convince her to leave this town and turn that kiss into forever. I aim to do just that as I spend my days coaching her nephew’s baseball team, fixing up the farm, and loving her with all I have. Finally, it seems like our relationship is secure and we’ll find a way to make it work. Then tragedy strikes … changing her life forever. She’s needed here more than ever, but as for me—there’s no way I can stay. I know she’s the one for me, but I might have to let her go …
REVIEW: After reading the first two books an getting a glimpse of Devney and Sean, I knew this one was going to be good. Corinne Michaels always makes me feel ALL THE FEELS, and this one was emotional. Friends-to-lovers with a ton of angst and plot twists I did not see coming. I mean, WOW. This series definitely brings the drama, but in a very good way. The Arrowood Brothers are all a little tortured due to the secret they are all keeping, which add a depth to them I want to dive into. I love seeing them navigate their feelings and courting of the women they fall in love with. Poor Devney, but the hits she endures and mistakes she makes make her so very human. This story was emotional, but sweet, and I loved seeing these two best friends find their HEA together!

Secret #1 – Smile when he tells you the happy news, even if your heart cracks in half. Secret #2 – Don’t compare yourself to his beautiful French fiancée. You’re just as beautiful. Secret #5 – Erase all memories of the two of you through the years when lines blurred for even the briefest of moments.
And the one you never saw coming…
Secret #6 – Definitely, don’t stand and object—someone else might just do it for you.
REVIEW: Oh denial, you fickle friend. I think one of the best things about Juno and Colton is that we get to see them throughout the first 6 books. We get glimpses into their friendship and we get to see that everyone knows they’re meant to be together, except for them. I have been excited about their story for a while now, but was a little skeptical when it entailed Colton being engaged. I am not a fan of someone being engaged and in love with someone other than their fiancé, BUT here’s the thing, Piper Rayne NEVER disappoints. They handled this plot in way that could get around any of my doubts. Do I still think Colton is a idiot for getting engaged in the first place, OF COURSE, but it all helped the reader get to know more about his side of the friendship.
One of my favorite elements of The Bailey’s series is that each and every one of the Bailey siblings is dealing with the repercussions of their parents’ death and how that played out in their family during the aftermath. We also learn more about Juno’s insecurities when it comes to being a Bailey and a matchmaker. When we were exposed to her in other books, I didn’t feel like I got that glimpse into what makes her who she is. I loved seeing these two come together and how their insecurities, experiences, and personalities played into it. I think everyone will enjoy this one!
Now, I just need to simultaneously hug and yell at Piper Rayne. THAT ENDING. They always set us up for the coming books, and this one was a freakin’ mic drop! I’ve been looking forward to Kingston’s Book: Winning my Best Friend’s Girl, BUT now I just know Sedona’s book is going to wreck me in the BEST WAY. I seriously can’t wait for Rules for Dating Your Ex.
Thank you so much to Piper Rayne and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

A little about us… We both have kindle’s full of one-clickable books. We’re both married to husbands who drive us to drink. We’re both chauffeurs to our kids. SYNOPSIS: “Just friends” is all Brooke and Dylan have ever been. (Except for that one night in high school, but they don’t talk about that.) Growing up, he was her protector. Her confidant. The one guy she could always trust. Now she’s a marine biologist working toward her PhD in California, and he’s an underwear model in New York. Despite the distance and their wildly divergent career paths, they’ve managed to stay friends.
Dylan’s only in town for a few days, crashing on Brooke’s couch and repaying the favor by acting as her date to a friend’s wedding. It was totally an accident she saw him naked. Pretty soon, the “just friends” thing goes out the window, and they find themselves giving friends with benefits a shot.
It’s all going great…until it isn’t.
Dylan’s got a ticket back to New York at the end of the week, and Brooke may have accidentally broken his heart. Can they navigate these uncharted relationship waters? Or has she wrecked her oldest friendship?
REVIEW: This was my first book from this author, but I’ve been curious about this series for a while! This story was cute and quick. I enjoyed the very real issues that Dylan and Brooke went through and their journey from friends to lovers to more. Both characters have some hold ups despite each having some really great qualities. Luckily, it just felt like they were meant to be as they interacted. Brooke’s whale decorations were cute and good for a laugh too.
Also, if you’re looking for a book without explicit details during the sexy times, this one might be for you!

Susannah Nix is an award-winning author of contemporary romances featuring smart women and swoony men, including the Chemistry Lessons series of romcoms about women who work in STEM fields and the Starstruck series of movie star romances.
Susannah resides in Texas with her husband, two ornery cats, and a flatulent pit bull. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, cooking, knitting, watching stupid amounts of television, and getting distracted by Tumblr. She is also a powerlifter who can deadlift as much as Captain America weighs.
I am a sucker for a romance series of standalones, and even more so when the leads are related. So of course I’m completely invested in the Arrowood brothers. Not to mention Corinne Michaels does emotional romances so well. I can’t wait to read about all four brothers!
SYNOPSIS: One night, eight years ago, she gave me peace. No names. No promises. Just two broken people, desperate to quiet their pain and grief.
In the morning, she was gone and had taken my solace with her. I left for the military that day, vowing never to return to Pennsylvania. When my father dies, I’m forced to go home to bury him. At least I’ll finally be rid of his farm, which is grown over and tangled with memories I’ve fought to forget. And that’s when I find her. She’s even more beautiful than I remember and has the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen. Years have passed, but my feelings are the same, and this time I refuse to let her go. They say you can’t bury the past, and they’re right. Because when long-ago secrets are exposed, rocking us both to the core, I have no choice but to watch her walk away again. . .
REVIEW: I picked these books up because I love the way Corinne Michaels writes her romances. They always pack a punch to the emotions and take the characters on a journey of growth. This is an insta-love and the guy saves the girl type of story, which isn’t my go-to. Plus, there was so much going on in this story and I was a little overwhelmed by how things kept happening. That being said, I really do appreciate how Corinne Michaels portrayed abuse in families and the lasting impacts it can have on the people involved. Luckily, Ellie’s daughter Hadley was a heartwarming break from all the craziness. It also helped that Connor was unfailing in his devotion. With the twists and turns, I definitely was rooting for this couple and was excited to see how they would end up. Also, meeting the other Arrowood brothers, definitely made me realize I needed to get my hands on the rest of this series.
SYNOPSIS: I fell in love with Sydney Hastings when I was ten years old. At sixteen, we whispered promises of forever. When I was twenty-two I broke them all. I left her and promised never to return.
After my father’s death, I’m forced to go home to Sugarloaf for six months. She’ll be everywhere, no longer just in my memories and regrets. When we’re together, it’s as though time never stopped. She’s still the one I want, but I don’t deserve her. Instead of apologizing, I take that beautiful, broken woman in my arms. But after that, it’s her turn to leave me.
Now I have to fight. For her. For us. For the life we both want …
REVIEW: Talk about emotional! I mean I thought I knew it would be, because we meet both Declan and Sydney is book 1, but that did not prepare me. I think there is something special about characters, such as the Arrowood brothers, that have been through trauma and in a result have a skewed world view. It’s just so human. I may have wanted to smack Declan upside the head many times in this book, but I was still rooting for him none the same. Sydney handles everything the best she can. I enjoyed her strength and admired her love for Declan. The hits kept coming in this one and I liked it even better than book 1. I’m excited to see what happens to the other two Arrowood brothers in books 3 and 4!
Thank you to Valentine PR for eARC in exchange for an honest review!
This series is full of quick reads, lots of suspense and drama, and all the damn feels. The characters are all tangled up in each other and endure a lot of difficult events. Something I appreciate about this series is how Natasha Madison made my feelings change about all the characters as they developed over all three books! I’m looking forward to the fourth book, because I’m sure it’s going to be chock full of angst and messiness that she writes so well.

SYNOPSIS: Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Kallie – I fell in love with him when I was seven. I scraped my knee, and he helped carry me inside. Our love story was the talk of the town until a woman told everyone she was pregnant with his baby. The only rational solution was to high tail it out of town and never come back. My best friend needed a place to hide, and you can’t get much more covert than my family farm, so I came back. For her. It was supposed to be temporary, and I wasn’t supposed to see him, but that’s what happens when you live in a small town where everyone knows each other.
Jacob – Being the sheriff in a small town was never my dream. My father died and my older brother took off, so I had to be the one to look after my mother. I stayed. I fulfilled my duties as a son and I protected my hometown. My life wasn’t perfect, but I was content. Until I locked eyes with a ghost from my past, Kallie. I thought it was my imagination, it couldn’t be. I loved her most of my life, but now I hated her. The town gossip mill was going into overdrive. I kept my head down and my mind off of the woman who shattered my heart when she ran away. She didn’t give me a chance to explain, it didn’t matter to her then. I didn’t matter.
A second chance is never promised, but now that mine is right under my nose, I’m not sure I can take it.
REVIEW: I sincerely hated the beginning of this book. I was mad at every single character for how they acted, which just made me need to read the whole damn book to know what happened. And I have to say, I’m glad I stuck it out! By the end of the book, I was smiling and opening up book 2! Let’s just say there are a lot of mistakes made, but at the end of the day some things are just meant to be. The side characters really added to this story and it’s so awesome to get their HEAs in books 2 and 3!
SYNOPSIS: Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Olivia – When you find out that your fiancé is arrested for swindling over ten million dollars from his clients, you do what any sane woman would do. You escape reality and go undercover, trading in your city-girl Louboutins for country-pumpkin cowboy boots. It wasn’t a forever change—it was temporary. I only had to stay here until things back home got straightened out, or so I thought.
Casey – I was riding horses before I was walking, or at least that was what they told me. I always knew I would take over the family farm. It’s in my blood. Country boy at heart, the minute I saw her dragging her luggage up the gravel driveway I knew she was out of my league.I shouldn’t have started anything with her, because I knew she was just passing through. I couldn’t stop it, I fell in love with her. Even though I knew, in the end, she would leave me.
REVIEW: This a damn romantic suspense with messy characters and lots of ups and downs. When I first saw glimpses of Olivia and Casey in the first book, I was really looking forward to their book. I feel like we got so much more depth to these characters than I was expecting, because they are so much more than what you see. This was a wild ride and it really added to the series overall!
SYNOPSIS: Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Savannah – I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to. Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town’s golden boy on vacation from college? Yes. Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly. Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out. So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff. It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.
Beau – I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero. Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever. My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend. The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten. I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married. Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.
REVIEW: I had questionable feeling towards Savannah, but I really loved Beau throughout the previous books. That meant I had mixed feelings going into this book in general, but I was also beyond interested to see how Natasha Madison was going to handle the drama that I knew what coming. Luckily, she got right to it in the opening scenes! Let me just say, Beau doesn’t show who is really is at beginning, but he makes up for it right away. Beau is freakin’ swoony and I just loved how he stood up for Savannah. By the end of this book, I was rooting for them both and I loved seeing their journey together.
Book 4: Southern Sunrise

It’s time I get my happily ever after, even if part of me wishes he was still mine.
Ethan – I found out on my twenty-first birthday that everything I thought I knew was a lie, and the man I had grown up thinking was my father wasn’t. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Meet Natasha Madison: When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
SYNOPSIS I’ve loved him from afar. Though most times he’s only a foot away. I’m smart enough to know he’ll never be anyone’s forever. He checks all the bad boy boxes. Tattoos. Check. Motorcycle. Check. Chip on his shoulder. Check check.
If he wasn’t my neighbor and friend I may have thrown myself at him. Okay, yeah. I wouldn’t. Because guys like Dylan don’t want a woman who writes kid’s math textbooks under him in bed. Instead, I pathetically savor morsels of moments where I have his sole attention.
That was until his archenemy moved in with me. Now suddenly, Dylan’s moving in too and warning off the first guy in a long time who’s showing me interest. Could he finally see me as more than a friend, or am I just a prize to win and show off to his enemy?
I had VERY HIGH expectations for this book, and Piper Rayne exceeded them all! THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE!!! First of all, the build up in the first two books made me so freakin’ excited for this one. I love the whole unrequited love between friends that isn’t actually unrequited. Their journey and self-growth just makes the story so rich. Getting more background on Dylan, Knox, and the newbie Jax had me rooting for Dylan even more and really understanding him. Plus, now I can’t wait for Jax and Knox to get their HEAs and I think I might just know who Jax ends up with!
Okay, now let’s talk about the AMAZING Rian. She writes math books for living. I love this for some reason and just want to be friends with her. Her parents are something else, and you really learn about their impact on her in this one. The way she cares about Dylan gave me all the feels. Her and Dylan may come from different backgrounds, but they have so much more in common than they know. Their back stories just made them so endearing and I needed them to get their HEA. Alright, I could seriously go on all day, but I don’t want to give anything away. Let’s just say, I would 100% recommend this series in general, but especially this book!!
Thank you to Piper Rayne and Wildfire Marketing Solutions PR for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
